Last Friday was the first time we finally went out to the mall as a family. Since baby Matti was born Little Zoie and her dad are the ones who always have fun going out. I am exclusively breastfeeding and I’m currently not using pump to store my breast milk, so going places seems impossible to do with the baby.
But that day was different, we went to SM Muntinlupa for a little family time and picking up some grocery stuff. I said different because as far as I know, SM Muntinlupa, is the only one that has breastfeeding station near our area as far as I know. So, I chose to buy our grocery there and besides, I need to stop by at Little Zoie’s school which is just across the shopping center.
As we are going around the mall, we accidentally bumped to hubby’s sister who is, along with her friend, planning to treat her friend’s niece with food and fun. Good thing the little girl was Zoie’s age, they got along just fine.
While me and hubby, with baby Matti, are picking up groceries, our Little Zoie, with her aunt, is having fun at SM Muntinlupa’s new playground with cute Meg, the niece.
As you all know that this is Little Zoie’s first year in school as Kindergarten 1, so she’s experiencing a lot of first times here. Christmas party is no exemption, and that was yesterday morning.
Plans for the party includes food sharing, games and exchange gifts. Weeks ahead the adviser, Teacher Ghen, has informed parents through their diaries (notebooks) about these. The parents will just talk on who will bring what food to avoid redundancy of the food.
As the day of the party came, everyone was excited, kids and parents alike. The teachers welcomed us, the parents, to join the party. I got worried because I only cooked chicken lollipop for the kids and a few extra for the teachers because I didn’t expect parents will be joining in. Good thing, SM is just across the road and I bought additional food to share at Goldilocks.
The party started with a few games, I took some pictures and videos of it, 2 videos actually and I’ll be sharing both of them here. First game, the ‘Straw Relay’. This game is boys versus girls, who won? Well, Little Zoie got ahead first but since her 2 teammates are not in the mood to play, the boys won this first game. ^_^
Second game, is named ‘Don’t Touch the Rope’ but I think that this is their version of Limbo Rock since the kids only avoid the rope by bending forward and not backwards. ^_^
One of the teachers is showing them how to do it.
I took a video of supposed the last level of the game, but since there’s still no winner yet, they created another level, lower than this.
Third game, is the ‘Banana Relay’ the first two pairs to finish eating their bananas will be the winners. Since 2 of the players are daddies, the rest mommies participated, they won the game. Before they started on the fourth game, the teachers decided to proceed to exchanging gifts first.
Little Zoie picked ‘Superman’ weeks ago before the party, so we only knew it is a boy and no other clues than the codename. We bought toy cars for Superman. ^_^
And Superman is… James!
Students didn’t only exchange gifts, all the teachers gave their own gifts for the kids. Even each parents in the party has gifts for every kid. Everyone seems to be a Santa and the kids definitely enjoyed getting gifts from everyone. That was really fun, I can see that Little Zoie enjoyed it very much. ^_^
After exchanging gifts, the last game of the day… Pabitin!
I would’ve shared the party’s food but will all the commotion with the kids and the gifts I forgot to take a picture of it. ^_^ The food shared are all potluck and everyone definitely got to eat everything, even the parents and teachers as well.
Everyone went home happy and full especially the kids, they never stop laughing and giggling as they went home.
Here are Little Zoie’s first batch of Christmas gifts from her school’s Christmas party:
It was my first time to visit daddy’s workplace yesterday, but actually mommy said it was his previous office before he got transferred to the BPO’s site in Makati. Anyway, although we have entered their office premises, we are still not allowed to roam inside their office, so instead they lead us to their basketball court and their ‘Game Room’.
Their plan, as mommy figured out, was to get the kids together, so they let them play in the Game Room. The mommies, the wives of the trainers, and hubby’s girl colleagues will try to get to know as well. And the guys… well, the basketball court was all theirs. I wanted to play in the basketball court but when daddy’s boss’ daughter came to me and handed me a toy fashion accessories, I changed my mind. Mommy was urging me to play with the girl since we are of the same age.
After the girl, Nivee (sorry we don’t know the spelling), handed me the fashion toys, we went to the Game Room. The team’s official ‘photographer’ was busy playing basketball with the rest of team, so no photos taken at the Game Room. ^_^ Though there’s no photos taken, I can definitely say that I had fun playing with the rest of the kids.
Also, mommy will be sharing some pictures taken from daddy’s colleague’s Facebook account, the ‘photographer’ during lunch time. We are also acknowledging the wonderful photos taken. By the way, we ate at Max’s Restaurant at Santana Grove, Sucat, Parañaque. See them below:
2nd photo: our family. 3rd photo: daddy’s manager’s family (the woman at the middle is daddy’s boss)
The rest of daddy’s team and their families. ^_^
Of course, it wouldn’t be more fun if I didn’t get freebies, toys and foods, from daddy’s boss! Lols!
