3 More Stars/Stickers in Week 2

Last week, Little Zoie didn’t get 5 out of 5 stars/stickers.

Nope. I’m not regretting that, I know that she’s doing her best in school, and I know that she’s doing a great job everyday.

Actually, there’s a story behind why she got 3 stars/stickers.

Monday was a regular routine for the class: learning, writing and other activities. And that she got a ‘Happy’ star.

Tuesday, it’s a birthday celebration of one of her classmates, Maxene. This will be a different post. The party lasts for an hour and 15 minutes, so the remaining 45 minutes was supposed to be regular classes.

But that’s not the case, they little children we’re already hyper because of all the games in the party so the attention for learning is not there anymore. The teacher decided to let them color the rest of the class since they are not paying attention anymore. So, no star there.

Wednesday. The little one was in no mood to smile because she didn’t get a star. But when I checked her Diary notebook, it said ‘Good job’. I suspected that they ran out of ink in their stamp pad to stamp the ‘Happy’ star.

My suspicion was confirmed the next day… they are now getting stickers for their job well done in school!

4 Stars in a Row for Week 1

Well, it should have been 5 stars but Monday is just an introduction day for Little Zoie and the rest of the class.

The start of the real learning was last Tuesday, and she got her first ‘Happy Star’ with a little ‘Happy Eraser’ as well. She also got written commendations every day on her diary notebook which I read when she got home. I understand that she’s doing very well in school.

Let’s count her ‘Happy Stars’:

**Her Friday star got erased before we can take a picture of it…**

For the past four days of her first week of school, she’s been very high spirited and, let’s say, hyper whenever she’s showing off her ‘Happy Stars’, well it’s great that she’s enjoying school so much.

Her small school is right in front of SM – Muntinlupa, and whenever she gets a ‘Happy Star’ she gets a reward. ^_^ Her requested reward is always Zagu Chocolate flavor. And since we don’t want to spoil her so much, and it’s getting quite expensive if we do it every day, we talked that she needs to collect 5 stars every week starting next week. And she agreed! ^_^

Now, we’re going to collect 5 stars in a row.

Her First Day of School

The most awaited day comes… ^_^

The day started rainy and I’m afraid we’ll be missing the first day because of it. Good thing it stopped an hour before we left the house.

I was kinda anxious because this will be a whole new experience for us, a new routine. I’m worried that I will be managing a new time management because of this but at the same time I’m excited as she is.

As usual like in her summer class days last year, we came early for school. Her classes starts at 9:30 in the morning until 12 noon. But 9:30 has passed but there are only 2 students for Kinder 1. Sigh, that’s what I don’t like in our tradition, people come in late from the designated time. And worst, it is also affecting children’s time of learning. Tsk tsk. Hopefully, this is will go through the whole school year.

Now, that the first day went well. My Little Zoie didn’t cry when I left her, she’s a big girl already. I’m sharing few photos of her first day of school.
