part 2: lenten season ‘getaway’

so here’s the next part of my lenten ‘getaway’

this was an overnight swimming in a private pool in miramonte village, pansol, laguna. we went there last friday afternoon (april 2) around 2pm, and reached laguna at around 4pm. this was just a sudden outing… unplanned, i should say. the oldies just planned the outing on the day of the ‘pabasa’, so this was not really on mommy’s and daddy’s to do list.

we went to laguna, without reserved venue, we just scout around and look for available and cheap private pool (but of course, a nice and suitable place for the family, especially the us… the kiddos). luckily, we found one! it has 2 pools, one for adults and one for kids. a big dining hall, a kitchen (with refrigerator and a gas stove… with gas), and three bedrooms fully air-conditioned. there are also recreation facilities besides the pool, there’s a billiard table and a videoke machine. these are just P4,500 for an overnight stay, not bad right?

swimming lesson from daddy

i stayed in the pool for almost 4 hours, and i was having a blast!

after the pool, mommy changed me into playing clothes… we are still waiting for dinner to be served, so the best way to not get bored is…

after a hearty dinner, we went up to the second floor of the building to play again… the oldies get to play with the billiard’s table and we get to play with the spacious area. we just run and play, and chase each other while mommy’s keeping watch and taking pictures of us! (ate ish, tita yca and me!)

they have a little stage here… i guess this area is for program purposes, that’s why its very spacious. you can see tables and chairs and the billiards table.

well, that’s about it… this is how we celebrated the lenten season. this was my second swimming outing for the summer of 2010 and hopefully i’ll have a third one!

part 1: lenten season ‘getaway’

how was your lenten vacation went?

i say vacation because… it might not be a very long vacation but it still is a vacation for my mom and yehey, i get to stay and play with her longer…

this lenten celebration is also a family reunion for the the cristoria clan (dad’s side). last april 1 is the ‘pabasa’ day, this is a yearly event at my lolo noel (lola mommy’s brother) and lola vilma’s house. this is also a way of bonding with the family.

and of course, what the kids did was play! i played with (tita) yca and cousin ish, as the oldies do some catching up…

we’re having fun!!!

of course, i need to refuel… got so really tired of all the running. here’s ate jazz, ate ish’ big sister, she definitely likes kids… and she likes me! kisses ate jazz!

ps. cousin ish’ didn’t play with us during that afternoon, she was taking her nap time. she just played with us right after she woke up! mommy hadn’t got the chance to take pictures that time.

my cousin’s 3rd birthday!

happy birthday, ate ish (venice)!

just came home from my cousin’s birthday party at jollibee, festival alabang.

she celebrated her birthday together with dad’s birthday, i think her dad’s birthday is on april 7.

anyway, we we’re one of the ‘early birds’ of the party and i got the chance to enjoy the music and the dance floor…

even when people are coming in, i still dance to my mom’s and other people’s (watching) delight!

party started with a prayer, this was lead by ate ish’ dad. then the games! the first game was the “bring-me” game. i won the first bring-me, the item to bring was, any personal ID. lola mommy was so fast to give me her office ID and because of that i got these…

the second and last game i won was, having the most signature i could sign on my paper. i got the most signs, 24 signs in all! unfortunately, the party host didn’t give me back my paper so i can’t show you the signatures mommy got. anyway, here’s the prize:

after the kiddies games, there’s also a game for adults… the game was called, minimum to maximum. the first team to score up to three wins. tito vince (ate ish’ dad) got to choose the players, he choses my dad, for the boys team and my mom, on the girls team.

its just a simple game, actually, the host will just say a description of a person like, a waistline or the length of your hair, then she’ll (the host) tell if we are going to arrange ourselves according to minimum to maximum (smallest to biggest) or maximum to minimum (biggest to smallest). and the first team to arrange themselves, will sit down and shout their team’s name. dad’s team was ‘aang and mom’s team was ‘dora’.’

daddy’s team won the game, they got some loot bags and the non-winning teams will do a consequence for losing the game.

the girls team has to spell the name of ate ish and tito vince’ name using their butts…

in fairness to my mom’s team, they’re good sports and they also got some loot bags.

whew!
after the fun games, eating time begins!

while eating, jollibee shows himself and allowed kids, and adults alike, to take pictures with him.

i’m still scared, but at least i’m not crying anymore…

another thing, they also got ‘pabitin’ and i got these!

the party ended past 7pm already, we started at 5:30… of course, the event wouldn’t be complete if there are no group pictures with the cristoria clan!
