we don’t have a yaya, so i’m taking my little zoie to my parents house (her grandparents), just a few blocks away from our apartment. we’ve been doing it for 3months already when she show signs of separation anxiety…
around february, late february, i’m thankful that her separation anxiety episode are minimizing gradually… at least little by little, she’s accepting or understanding that mommy needs to go to office and not be with her during the day.
reading some articles about separation anxiety helps me how to handle my little angel, within this separation anxiety episodes, i make sure that i’ll explain to her where i’m going and i’ll assure her that i’ll be back. i don’t go out and not say goodbye, ’cause i think it’ll not help at this stage… so, even for a quick second, i’ll say my goodbye.
i’m not saying that these are the best steps on how to handle your kid’s separation anxiety, but this is how i do it and it works for me and my baby…
now, when go to office, i’ll just kiss her and hug her and tell my i love yous… then she’ll say, “bye!”
