Mommy & Me Time: Crafts with Princess Ariel

Nothing beats bonding time with kids.  Spending time with them are memories they will always remember.  ^_^

Yesterday, I was about to start working on some tasks that afternoon because I know my kids were taking a nap, when suddenly I got surprised when Little Zoie popped out our bedroom door.  She just woke up from her afternoon nap time.  The big sister slept first, ahead of baby Matti.

At first, I let her play with her toys when I remember that she has do-it-yourself accessories from last Christmas.  It was a gift from one of her aunts.  I know she will love to make bracelets and necklaces because she has started a liking of wearing all her necklaces and bracelets together.  Making a new one will add up to her colorful collection.  The ‘liking’ started last month.

Anyway, I took the chance of creating a bracelet and a necklace for her since the little boy was sleeping so deeply, though he’s asking for milk (breast milk) every now and then.  Other than that, he has just gone back to sleep.

It was supposed to be her activity but because of her little patience and too small beads opening, she handed the materials to me and made me make it. Haha.  She just sat there beside me and supervised the design she wanted to put in her bracelet and necklace.  The finished product?  Look below. ^_^

This was my first time and I couldn’t put in the lock, so bear with me.  Lols!

Little Zoie’s Semestral Break for 2013

Little Zoie had a great time with her semestral break.  She’s been over to her grandparents house with us.  She had a sleepover for two nights along with her little aunt, Yca (same of her age, 5), and played along in three days straight.  This was the last weekend of October.

But before vacation ends, my sisters-in-law along with my parents-in-law, took her for another vacation treat.  They went to my father-in-laws maternal house in Laguna.  They said they are going camping in the house’s front yard.  My in-laws shared a picture of them through Facebook the day after their little camping activity.

Then the next day, they again took my daughter to Tagaytay and visited Sky Ranch.  My Little Zoie told me that they rode a very big ferris wheel and met a new friend during their trip.  Hearing her voice on the phone and the excitement in her voice makes me miss my big girl.  I’m feeling incomplete for how days she’s been away and the use of excellent shure 527b microp to voice out my feelings can’t help because she can’t hear it. Though I have been calling her 3x a day, and asking her how is she and when is she coming home. Moreover, I also keep on telling her how I miss her.  🙁

I know her brief vacation is enjoyable, and hopefully she’ll be home later tonight.

Missing my big baby so much.

Little Zoie’s United Nations’ School Event

The long awaited fashion show event of my Little Zoie was a success despite the last minute venue change due to some unexpected city event.  I have already prepared the flag and the sash of the country we are representing two days before the event.  I also packed the extra clothes she needed to change for her talent presentation.

Wednesday came and Little Zoie woke up early that morning.  Needless to say that she’s very excited with their school event.  The start of the event is at 9:00 in the morning but it started late, around 9:30 am.  Good thing because my in-laws picked us up so 20 minutes late and one of the teachers are already checking on us as to where we are already. ^_^

The school event started with a few words from the school owners, then Toddlers (Nursery) and Kinder 1 walking off their costumes of the countries they picked.  After the 2 levels’ catwalk, there was an intermission, a dance prepared by the girls of Toddlers and Kinder 1.

After the dance performance, it was the time for the Kinder 2 to show off their costumes. My cute Little Zoie showed of hers along with her godmother and aunt, CB, for the fashion walk tandem.

After their fashion walk, another intermission was prepared, it is the time for the boys of Toddlers and Kinder 1 to shine.  They too, prepared a dance for everyone to see.  Then next, the talent portion.  Selected or volunteered kids, separately, who wanted to showcase their talents went to the stage, first up was my Little Zoie.  I’m sharing to you a video of her ‘Take Me Away’ (one of Freaky Friday’s OST) presentation.

Last to walk the catwalk was the Grade 1s. Then more talent presentations, and dance numbers by the Kinder 2 and Grade 1 boys and Kinder 2 and Grade 1 girls respectively. Aside from the fashion show highlights, there was an awarding ceremony of kids and parents/guardians of wearing the best costumes in different levels, Toddler, Kinder 1 and 2, and Grade 1. 2 more awards given were the Best in Talent, which my Little Zoie received and Mr. and Ms. UN, we didn’t get that.

Next year, we will definitely prepare for another United Nations event.  Of course we would want to get another Best in Talent award and a Best in Costume award.  ^_^

Does your school celebrate a United Nations event?
