September 2014

Last weekend we are scheduled to pick up the the dresses of the entourage of my friend’s wedding next month.  The entourage included me and my Little Zoie.  My daughter is one of the flower girls and me, the mommy, is one of the secondary sponsors.  I was supposed to be a bridesmaids but I am already married and can not be included in the ‘maids’ part of the entourage.

So, the scheduled pick up hasn’t materialized because of the storm that hit the metro last weekend and it left most of the cities flooded.  That was a bad timing for us, but we have yet to see, and I am excited about it, our sponsor dresses.  I just wish that this is one of those inexpensive bridesmaid dresses in TBDress.com (http://www.tbdress.com/Cheap-Inexpensive-Bridesmaid-Dresses-6392/) because our friend has asked if we could shoulder the expense on our own entourage dresses.  It is clear that we will be paying and it is not included in my friend’s wedding budget.  Anyway, since we are the ones who are going to wear the dresses, it is fine by me.

Below is the same color and style but not the same skirt length of the dress.  Also, an additional yellow belt around the waist that is detachable.

Since I haven’t seen the final dress, I still can’t figure what cheap wedding shoes I can match with this color of gown.  I know it can go very well with silver but I wanted to try other styles also.  Might as well check TBDress shoes gallery too (http://www.tbdress.com/Cheap-Wedding-Shoes-4326/)…

Lookie, lookie here!  This pair of peep-toe platform shoes is a great match!  ^_^

Hopefully, by next weekend, the dresses are all ready to pick up.  I need a lot of time to choose a pair of pretty shoes for the lovely blue dress.

Initially I know that Little Zoie’s grades are not as great as her grades back in Kinder 1 and 2, but I am still surprised that her grades didn’t reach the highest grading in their system.  That would be an ‘A‘ as Advanced (90% and up). See her grades below.

1st report card

Actually, her grades are really not that bad.  ‘P’ means Proficient and has a grading score of (85%-89%) and honestly, I have been expecting too much since she delivered way above my expectation back in her preschool years.  Also, I know that I have a big fault in this too.  I just discovered that the more harder the lessons get, the more I am getting impatient in teaching.  Bad mom, I know.  I am not proud of it and I get mad at myself whenever the ‘impatient’ nature strikes in.

Now, I realized that I have to device my own method of teaching that should be incorporated with fun as she learns.  No more impatient mom, she’ll get more confused that she already is.  I just pray that she’ll be back on her feet the next grading period.  I have to accept that it will take a lot of teaching and learning to achieve her usual ‘A’s’ in her report card.

I have to remind myself to stop being impatient and teach and help her get high grades from now on.
