One good news and one bad news…
Little Zoie’s ear infection has been cured, that’s the good news.
And the bad news?
She has the symptoms of skin asthma.
Yes, another complication to my Little Zoie’s health. And I’m not really happy about it.
Who would, right? It seems that everything’s piling up this month of May, even as it ends.
Anyway, but there’s still light beyond the tunnel, I know, because we (me and Little Zoie) went to my dermatologist to have her checked. We already seen her pedia last Tuesday, but since the pedia said that once the rashes can’t be contained she’ll have to refer us to a dermatologist for it. So instead buying the pedia’s prescription, I let my dermatologist see her first.
What I like about my dermatologist is, she really explains everything. Where it started, how to deal with it, gives you alternative prescriptions which will fit in your budget but with effective results, stays with you until your skin problem goes away or until you don’t have anymore complains about your skin.
I trust my dermatologist so much because with her help, a lot of help exactly, she made my acne breakouts stop for the second time already. ^_^ First, my teen years and now, as I have my PCOS.
Now, I’m handing her my Little Zoie’s case of skin asthma, she changed our pedia’s prescription. She knows what the pedia gave without even seeing the prescription. ;-) We bought her lotion and cream for Php 700; we bought Dove sensitive soap for Php 45; and we’re going to buy an anti-histamine syrup later, it’s worth Php 200+.
My dermatologist said, expect expensive medications for treating skin asthma. Her meds are effective as even though it is not branded. I recon they are cheaper but even though they become expensive I’ll still buy them because I have proven her meds to be very effective, no doubt about that. I will be very keen on following all her instructions, from meds to food to other stuff that makes skin asthma worst, for the next week. I am praying that this skin problem won’t become worst.
I am now blaming the my genes for passing my asthma, bronchial asthma which have been controlled in my teen years, to her. Now, I am going to control her skin asthma as well.
